Breathwork – A Transformational Process.
Breath is life. Breathing connects us to our true feelings. Feelings are the conduit, the gateway to the Divine. We are feeling beings capable of manifesting our greatest dreams if we allow ourselves to feel...to express our full selves in the world, to live from our true purpose, to give ourselves permission to have what we love. Many of us learned early how to ‘say No’ to ourselves, to disconnect from what we truly love, to mistrust ourselves or other people, to live at ‘half-mast’, to give into fear and negativity. Our contracted or fear-based patterns of living show up in our breath as a ‘holding of our breath’ or shallow breathing. Our patterns show up in our lives as low self-esteem, ‘not feeling good enough’, lack of meaning or purpose, anger, guilt, resentment, fear, worry, doubt, struggle around money, work or love, depression, or a feeling of ‘not wanting to be here’.

An expansive life requires an expansive breath. If you aspire to a life of expanded opportunities, of love, joy and abundance, seek to breathe and express your truth fully. Seek to feel your feelings, heal your most limiting thoughts, and experience the safety and joy of being you, fully manifest, fully expressing the majesty of who you are in the world. Breathwork/rebirthing is not the only modality to heal thoughts and feelings. There are many roads to Rome, after all. But it is a powerful one and one that has transformed my life and the lives of many clients with whom I have had the privilege of working. I credit breathwork and rebirthing with deepening my connection to God/the Divine and strengthening and expanding my intuitive and clairaudient abilities.

What Is Breathwork?
Breathwork is a gentle, life-affirming and life-transforming process. It is the foundation of Rebirthing which is a process which includes the study of our birth process – from conception, thru gestation to birth and beyond. The study of pre and perinatal psychology is an element in any rebirther’s practice and provides for some profound and revelatory ‘aha’s. You can read more on the next page on ‘rebirthing’. The breath process in breathwork and rebirthing is a circular, connected breathing – much like a wave washing into shore and a wave washing out. It connects the inhale and exhale in a circular pattern for a full cycle of breathing (1 hour). Sessions are generally two hours or more in length and include a breathing process and a consultation. The process is only recommended if you are working with a trained practitioner.

Thought Is Creative?

Breathwork/rebirthing is founded on two key principles: Thought is creative and you are 100% responsible for the reality you experience. How you interpret life is your choice. Are you feeling trapped or free? You attract into your life the people and experiences that are a match for your deepest, underlying, unconscious feelings and thoughts. Most unconscious feelings and thoughts are pre-verbal — they show up as energy in the body and they have been created as early as conception, thru gestation, birth and the first years of life. You may not be able to give the energy ‘words’...but you know the energy is there because it gets ‘triggered’ somehow by events in adult life and what that energy is seeking is... resolution, completion, release. The result of transforming this energy/thought...is peace in the body, and joy and peace in the heart, body and mind. Energy that is not released, transmuted or transformed gets ‘stuck’ or congealed into anger, fear, anxiety etc.

Thoughts are Energy?

Everything in the universe is made up of energy. Our thoughts, our words, our feelings, our actions are made up of energy. And emotion – fear, sadness, guilt, anger, resentment – is energy in motion speerheaded by a thought. The conscious mind, as the ancient Kahunas teach, is the intellect. The unconscious mind is the emotional body — the deep storehouse of old hurts and feelings and it is very childlike. Bringing the conscious and unconscious mind into alignment is the work of healing.

The more in alignment you are – both conscious and unconscious – with joy, abundance, success and pleasure, the more you will manifest it – quickly. If you are out of alignment – if your conscious mind is saying one thing and your unconscious is feeling another way – you will manifest an ambivalent or opposite outcome.

Your Deepest Feelings Manifest Results?

Our deepest feelings do not lie. We cannot sweep them under the carpet or deny them or ignore them. They deserve to be heard, felt and released. Emotion/feelings are energy in creative motion and they will manifest their truth in our lives. As I often say in breathwork and rebirthing, ‘validate the feeling not the thought behind it.’ In other words, it is important to allow someone to feel their sadness and release it and then adopt a higher thought that allows their consciousness to be elevated and the feeling they operate from to be transformed. The feeling and actions generated from believing ‘I am a failure’ is considerably different than the feeling and actions generated from believing ‘I am a success’.

How Do You Recognize Your Unconscious Thoughts?
You know your unconscious thoughts by the results you manifest. Just look at your life. You probably have some results you love, some you are ambivalent about, some you don’t like at all. Right? You can be saying all day long ‘til the cows come home’ : I am great. I deserve great work for great pay....and still be attracting work at low pay. Why? Because you have a dominant, unconscious energy pattern that is working in opposition to your conscious affirmation. It is an energy pattern like static on a TV set — and it keeps sending the message ‘No...I don’t deserve. No...I will never deserve...’ It doesn’t matter where it comes from, it just matters that it is there continuing to create an experience you no longer want.

How Do You Access Your Unconscious In Order To Heal It?

Breathwork is a powerful means of accessing the unconscious mind. The breath is considered the bridge between the conscious and the unconscious mind. The breath bypasses the intellect, relaxing the body and the mind so that feelings and thoughts stored as energy in the cells of the body can come to the surface for release. Breathwork allows for the identification, release and transformation of old hurts and fears and limiting thought patterns that have held you back and sabotaged your success in the past. When a client comes to see me feeling sad or scared or stuck, I always ask, ‘what is the thought or group of thoughts generating the way you are feeling?’ There is power in beginning to recognize what our thoughts are and what consciousness we are operating from and how we feel as a result of thinking those thoughts. It is powerful to realize that we can change them – and thus change our lives.

What Are The Benefits To Breathwork/Rebirthing?
Breathwork frees the mind and heart of old states of emotion and limiting patterns of thought and feeling. It also energizes the body, stimulating the body’s natural ability to cleanse and purify itself of toxins, and ultimately, enhancing the body’s health and vitality.

When you transform how you feel, your entire life changes. Suddenly, you are no longer living at the mercy of ‘victim consciousness’, unable to change your circumstances. You begin to take different actions based on feeling more capable and believing in yourself. You discover your purpose, embrace life with a voracious appetite, eliminate self-sabotage, attract better and more successful relationships, pursue and manifest your goals and dreams, and live the life you love and know you deserve.
