I have a mystical bent and an intuitive nature. I love inspirational and transformational themes and true stories. When I started out as a freelancer, I pitched a story for a national magazine on homeless women across Canada. It was my introduction to what happens when a story not only strikes a chord but strikes an angry chord. When the story landed, there was backlash from different sectors. Seasoned journalists told me it was par for the course. It was 1981 and I was twenty-two years of age.
Later, I would gain experience as a researcher and field producer in documentary television (true crime and the paranormal). I loved the investigative documentary form. In 1995, an article I wrote was commissioned as a dark comedy and inspired a move to Los Angeles.
In 2009, I began receiving telepathic downloads about the twenty-two-year-old female victim of a historic cold case. I spent the next ten plus years writing and exploring the possibility of a potential reincarnation linked to the story. As I sent out query letters, I experienced harassment from different quarters. Looking into that would lead to disquieting discoveries. I shelved the project and walked away.
