From 2009-2021, I was at work on a book of narrative non-fiction that held my interest because it was a historic true-crime mystery of great complexity. I have the psychic and psychological bandwidth for this sort of endeavour and I gave myself to it wholeheartedly. It began in a mystical manner and with much intrigue. But as it evolved over many years, it devolved into something completely wrong for me. Like a bad marriage or the wrong job, the signs were abundantly clear: Let it go. To complete a project that you’ve given more than a decade of your life only to release it, is no small feat. But I have come away from the experience with wisdom, personal healing, humility, solid respect for my creative, intuitive, and psychic gifts, my integrity, and deep gratitude for my spiritual teacher, Howard Wills, my spiritual practice, and my connection to God.
