On May 5th, 2026, I faced the blank page. On May 18th, I completed the first draft of a screenplay. A dark comedy, based on true events.

I listened to Paul Schrader who made so much sense to me. Watched classic and contemporary movies. Read scripts. Then embraced David Lynch’s approach – building the story out in 77 scenes on cue cards.

I lived with those cue cards for two weeks before sitting down to write. I wrote 12 pages a day, to completion.
